Durban Motor Show 2012 including "Super Drift" and "Skate My Ride"
A fantastic 3 day event brings back Durban's very own motor show. Exotic cars, luxury cars and everyday cars. Also, Super Drifting, held in the middle of a city for the first time in SA. There was also a Skate My Ride, skateboard competition that attracted and awed spectators.

Another exhibition of skill and bravery. Building up a whole lot of speed, turning the board sideways and seeing how far one can slide (while staying upright of course)

Marriannhill Monastery - 05 August 2012
The monastery was founded by Trappist monks in 1882 as a Catholic Mission and boasts an impressive display of architecture and design. Beautiful frescos adorn the cathedral ceiling and light streams through stained glass windows.

Red Bull Nightshift - 30 June 2012
Some of today's top surfers exhibit their skills at a night surfing event. Towed by a Jet Ski they release and perform to a beach packed full of spectators.

Living Statues at Essenwood Flea Market held at Berea Park each Saturday Morning. Drop a few coins into the collection can and watch them come alive.
The Beauty of Cyclone Irina
Taken on Durban's beachfront, about half an hour before the first rains of Cyclone Irina.
Cyclone Irina fortunately did not bring as much rain and wind as predicated. What it did however bring was a magical sunset and awesome reflection of colour over Durban's beachfront.
